THE KNITTING ROOM IS LOOKING FOR TEAM MEMBERS IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
SALES ASSOCIATE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly part – time salesperson to work at our Windham or Tannersville NY locations. We are flexible on days but require at lease one day a week, Thursday – Monday. Must have knowledge of knitting (crochet is a bonus), understand yarn weight, and have a basic understanding of yarn fiber (we can teach you more from there). Duties include checking out customers, helping customers pick yarn for a project, check in and restock merchandise, basic store cleanliness pack and ship online purchases etc.
Hourly pay starts at $16 and team members that continue past 3 months receive an employee discount.
TEACHERS
We are looking for teachers primarily for knitting, crochet and spinning but if you have fiber or needle art you’d like to teach at The Knitting Room let us know what you have and we will consider adding it to our classes repertoire. Interests include needle felting, embroidery, darning, mending, needle point, macrame etc.
We offer a flexible schedule.
Our pay structure for teachers is different than for store employees but we do offer an employee discount.
We’re looking for someone who is ready to grow with us – these roles comes with the opportunity to earn more over time and work your way up to store manager.
